Felix Sablan

Felix Sablan is native to the island of Guam and lives in San Diego, California. Sablan’s extensive business and community outreach background coupled with the passion to help Pacific Islanders in the U.S. inspired the vision for Islander Elevation. Sablan is a former corporate executive in healthcare, business development leader in higher education, entrepreneur, and currently operates his own consulting practice in business development and cultural integration. Sablan’s passion for advocacy extends to several leadership roles to include: Director of We The People Project – advocating for equal voting rights for territories of the U.S., Charter Board Member for the San Diego Pacific Islander Tobacco Control Coalition, Leadership Fellow for APPEAL – Asian Pacific Partnership for Empowerment, Advocacy, and Leadership, Advisory Board member for PIC Health, District Chair for Vocational Service for Rotary District 5340. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Communication degree and is currently finishing his Masters in Business Administration by 2016.

 

Sacha Guider

Sacha Guider

Sacha Guider is originally from Modesto California where her passion for people stemmed from several generations of serving her community. She was involved intensely with Christian Food Sharing and Royal Neighbors of America. A former General Manager for a restaurant in San Diego and better half to Felix Sablan, Guider will ensure Islander Elevation is supporting Pacific Islander communities through supporting Nonprofit groups that have a focus on Pacific Islanders in the U.S.

Corina Chung

Corina Chung is an epidemiologist for the San Mateo County Health System where she acts as the technical lead for research and mapping. She previously worked at the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum as a research associate where she conducted quantitative and qualitative research and provided research capacity building trainings, with a focus on Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander populations. She has a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Science & Technology from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from UC Berkeley. She currently serves on the board of Guerrilla Cartography.
